How to Redirect 404 Error Page using JavaScript in Blogspot

1. Login to your Blogger Dashboard >> Settings >> Search Preferences >> Custom page Not Found

2. Now copy the below set of code and paste it in the empty box

Now the dialogue message which was going to display can be adjusted as your wish. If you are eager to redirect 404 error page to another page other than homepage, then just change pathname with href and / with the url address of the post where you want to switch. The number 2000 (2 second) basically expressed in milliseconds and you can change it to other valid values as you want i.e. if you alter it from 2000 to 3000 then it will take 3 seconds.
After entering the code the next step is to save all settings by simply clicking on “Save changes” tab button. You can verify the changes that you have recently made by entering the custom texts after your website domain name. Then you will see an automatically redirecting just after 1 second.
